Welcome, welcome to One Minute Crypto! I’m your host, Chronos, and today we’re going to learn
how to access your Bitcoin Cash in an
Electrum wallet. If you owned Bitcoin prior
to August 1st, *BAM* the blockchain forked, and now you have two kinds of bitcoins:
Bitcoin, and Bitcoin Cash. If your Bitcoin
was in an Electrum wallet, this video
tells you how to access it. First of all,
download the Electrum software for
Bitcoin Cash. That’s the address over
there: http://electroncash.org. Spell it right!
“Electron Cash.” Don’t ask me why.
After you do that, download the software, run
the software. Choose auto connect on the
first pane, then choose standard wallet.
Choose next, then choose “I already have a seed.” Then choose next, then enter the
seed phrase that you got when you first
set up your Electrum wallet. These are
the same twelve words that it gave to
you and you created your wallet. After
you hit next, then choose an encryption
key, as long as you want, nice and long. Write
it down afterwards. Then hit next, then
you have access to your Bitcoin Cash!
It should show up in your balance right there. If you want to send it to an exchange, or
send it to somebody, just click the Send
tab. This does not affect your Bitcoin
because it’s on a separate blockchain. If you have any questions, feel free to post
in the comments below the video.
