hello namaste salaamwalekum satsriyakaal; welcome back to another session with your VahChef at Vahrehvah.com. Today i’m going to make gold coins the
moment you say gold all Indian gets excited because we all love to collect gold many times I think the Chinese have created this dish for Indians and
specially named gold coin to excite Indian woman to tell the husband to take me there if you can’t buy me the gold at least feed me the gold coins, dear friends let’s go ahead and make this funtastic gold coins; for this
preparation we’re going to use chicken today you can also use shrimp one day
i’ll show you how to make the vegetarian gold coins also but first here is the minced chicken lot of people put the chicken in a mincer and make into a paste but for making this gold coins I don’t like to make it into a mince because on the toast it doesn’t taste that great but if you have time, patience just take a
knife and chop finely the way I did it here that way when you eat it the the chicken is nice and juicy so in this
add some chopped green chilli, finely chopped garlic and add salt to taste, add
spring onion, just chop lot of spring onion and add to this, chopped coriander
and beaten egg that should be going enough and let’s mix it and make it into a nice
mixture, if you want you can add other Indian spices like chilli powder, garam masala also but this should be nice and i want to add little bit of the MSG but today i’m going to skip it haha this is perfect there is egg in this
to give a nice binding now you know here is my coin i just cut the bread into a
nice round take this mixture and put it on this bread and just take a spatula
and just spread it nicely it should be good put this on a plate just sprinkle lot of sesame seeds just tap it with the hand like this and on top of this you
can just apply a little egg wash this will give a nice shine when your gold coins are fried that should be good enough you can also
use the same mixture to make sesame chicken sticks so take this mixture onto
a slice of bread and spread it now on this slice of bread just put in the
sesame seeds and just tap it and just if you want you can give a nice egg wash
that will make these sesame seeds shine when you fry them okay that should be good now look at
this they’re already now we’re going to fry them till they are nicely golden in
color and crispy so here is my Kenwood fryer here in this just put them with the
chicken facing upwards what this does is first it will cook the bread and the chicken
also sticking to the bread gets cooked that way the chicken will not disintegrate into the oil this is one easy way so dear friends let’s
go ahead and fry them till they’re nicely golden in color now after frying
for 3 – 4 minutes the bread side will be cooked nicely golden and turn towards
the chicken facing bottom and now we’re going to cook this for another 4 – 5 minutes till the chicken side is also nicely golden in color you know after cooking the other side also for 4 – 5 minutes just lift this up see one thing good
about having a fryer like this is you don’t have to worry about you know
removing the oil and you can just turn the other side that because the oil is on
the bread side so you can turn it on the other side in the pan itself and that will help in draining the oil look at this fantastic gold coins wow and whatever extra oil is there let it drain out and let’s put it on a paper towel also, see the bread when they get fried they absorb oil this is quite oily whatever no matter what you do but when you eat it so tasty so once in awhile little oil is okay one
thing I’ll tell you very strongly do not add too much spices in this make this
mild and with the sesame seeds that’s when it tastes its best you can
dip it in a nice spicy sauce but the coins make it a little bit the same way
I showed you then they will taste excellent you can make them into coins or fingers but I think women prefer to hear golden coin than golden fingers what did i say i don’t know i don’t know
